Enemy Probing Our Lines–Our Airlines In This Case

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

These men returning (one way) to the Middle East were living here legally.  Should we be suspicious?  Don’t you travel with a cell phone taped to a bottle of liquid all the time?  Don’t you like to amuse the TSA agents with various possible electronic triggers taped to after shave bottles?

I hate citing ABC as a source, but refer you there for the article.

Main point: Why did we admit them to our country?  Was it the acute Detroit area labor shortage that compelled ICE to permit them in?  This is suicidal–on our part.  If the United States “just says no,” we will not face this constant barrage of enemy agents openly, freely using our liberty and hospitality to develop the optimum means of killing us.

Weakness in Your Security Plan: Your Family

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

I’ll never forget the night we were awakened by beating on the door and repeated doorbell rings.  While I retrieved the Glock, the cell phone, and the Surefire, my wife ran to the door and flung it open!

Thank God, a police officer stood there.  (He’d caught the guy who burglarized our car, within minutes of the robbery.)  My first question was, “How did you catch him so fast?”  My second questions were directed to my wife.  We had to do some serious home defense tactics debriefing.

But there are more heartbreaking ways for your loved ones to introduce deadly danger into your home.  Yes, the very people you would die for sometimes bring you to just that ultimate sacrifice through their foolishness.

Last week, the boyfriend of the daughter returned to the birthday party and started killing.  Details are scant and gleaned from several news stories, but the daughter’s father was killed shielding the bodies of his children from bullets.

Fathers and mothers, is this sounding close to home for you?  I am sure that many of you have disapproved of the company your daughter keeps.  Some of you are heartbroken.  Her “It’s my life!” complaint is correct only insofar as it goes, and dead wrong otherwise: bumping up against scum out there endangers the entire family.  I’ve written about this before.

Lesson: You may live a clean life and stay out of trouble.  You don’t know what meth looks like and you don’t even know where you would buy Oxy except at Walgreen’s.  But, your precious children may be exposing you to the underworld.

Lesson: As we tried so hard to tell City Council here during the “guns in parks” debate, you simply cannot predict when or where evil people will strike.  They just don’t obey boundaries of parks, propriety, or anything else other than prison walls and caskets.

Lesson: Shielding your children from bullets is valiant; shooting the attacker is more effective.  But, he didn’t have a gun.

San Francisco’s Lone Gun Store

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

How would you like to be the only gun store in San Francisco? Of course, it just HAD to draw protest.  But, oh, yes, they are not against guns.  I bet they would tell you–like certain politicians–they are “strong supporters of the Second Amendment.”  But, here is their excuse for opposing the store:

Officially, the organizations [opposing the store] are not opposed to people owning guns, Alliance member Jaime Ross told me [Reporter Phil Bronstein]. They’d just “rather have something the neighborhood could enjoy – a laundry or wine and cheese shop.

To Quote the Feminists….

Monday, August 30th, 2010

The best man for the job might be a woman: Michelle Bachman. MJM is in love.  Well, I’m pretty excited about her emergence as a political force, anyway, and these days, that’s even better!

“Why Is U.S. Hostile Toward Islam?”

Monday, August 30th, 2010

That is the big, bold title to the Sunday newspaper article I am looking at right now, by Margaret Talev for McClatchy Newspapers.  The sheer stupidity of the title’s question caught my attention.

Margaret, are you some sort of al-Qaeda agent-of-influence? Your question is bizarre, explicable only if you are either on the payroll of AQ or so blindly anti-American that you must reinterpret the obvious into the oblivious.

I will comment on your article for this reason: You serve as a study in how the rest of us cannot count on so many anti-American Americans, even to fight to defend our country.  At the end, I will address the dilemma our Muslim citizens and visitors now live under, created by these terrorists.

  • Margaret is condescending: “Most Americans reflexively oppose an Islamic cultural center near ground zero….”
We oppose the victory monument mosque because we just can’t actually reason.  Anyone opposing the victory mosque reacts by reflex, like a flatworm in a biology lab experiment, flinching from a drop of water too high in acid.  We have the brains of worms.
  • Margaret then refers to an “expert” to prove we are dolts.  Noting how little Americans in general know of Islam, and how few of us know Muslims, she quotes a touchy-feely SUNY political psychologist to surmise: “It’s natural for people who don’t know Muslims to draw strong stereotypes from Sept. 11 and feel them reinforced by recent scares such as the Times Square bomb plot.”
We do know that a large number of Muslim people hate our guts, burn our flag, cut off American heads when they can, and stay up late at night enjoying our hospitality but plotting new ways to kill us.  Not completely ignorant of how Muslims govern their own countries, we are suspicious that they are busily planting the seeds of authoritarian theocracy here, with the PR water being carried by the likes of Margaret.
  • Margaret cannot ignore the 1972 Olympic Games, 1988′s Flight 103 Lockerbie bombing, and 9-11 (She omits many other attacks by Muslims.) but she moans that these have created a public relations problem.  She is concerned about Islam’s PR problem, not the mass murder.
  • Margaret mocks us, picking on a lady from Muskogee, Oklahoma carrying a protest sign.  Margaret selects her photograph to serve as the poster-example of the redneck Muslim-hater.
I do appreciate the little joke. At least Margaret knows of Merle Haggard.  But, Margaret, some of us would indeed be proud to identify with the Okies from Muskogee.  But, I guess you chose to caricature that woman to mock all of us.  We are all just “Okies from Muskogee” and too dumb not to be proud of it.
  • Margaret, having mocked Oklahoma, fails to see that she is the one getting provincial: “Republicans and those without college educations tend to be less favorable toward Islam.
Sniff, it’s a long way to look  down that nose.
  • Margaret puzzles, “What shaped modern American impressions of Muslims?”
    Duh.
  • Margaret thinks our surprise at Iran’s 1979 embassy takeover was our fault: “Death to America” was all about the CIA and 1953, justifying it all. If only we understood….
What every American other than Jimmy Carter understood was that taking over our embassy and holding our people hostage was an act of war.
  • Then she gets nastier.  She finds an associate professor of Islamic studies at the University of Kentucky who says “[C]onservative Christians long have been a source of anti-Islamic rhetoric….”
Is that it, Margaret?  Is this all about your hating Christians?  In this smear, you reveal so much.
  • Margaret then lapses into stating the obvious but needing a poll: “Muslims are the most negatively viewed faith community in the country.”
    Can’t imagine why.

What nonsense!  It’s pointless to talk with someone so blinded, so the rest of this post is addressed to Muslim people  who live here, and who want to travel and live here, and you are many.

American Muslims, here is the problem you have to figure out how you are going to deal with, and it’s not just a PR problem.  We all know that by far most Muslims are not terrorists, do not hate America, and are just ordinary people trying to make a living and have their kids turn out uncorrupted by MTV.

Here is the problem, and what Margaret is incapable of getting: We non-Muslim Americans cannot tell who from among Muslim visitors and citizens is here to enjoy the blessing of liberty, and who is here to plot new ways to blow us up.  How can we know?  Even you cannot always tell which young man is getting strange, saying strange things, becoming radicalized and about to assemble a truck bomb?  Which soft-spoken airport shuttle driver spends his off hours trolling the aisles looking for hydrogen peroxide?  Which neighbor who helped you jump-start your car is saving his money to attend a terrorist training camp?  How are we supposed to know you came here in peace? We thought the 19 came just to visit, and look what they did?

Our experience began with warnings far away, approximately with the 1972 Olympic Games and the murder of poor American Leon Klinghoffer, on a Mediterranean holiday cruise.  Now, Muslims who hate America sneak in among the far greater number who do not;  Those deceive us on their visa applications and in their neighborhoods.  They take jobs, blend in, and plot jihad.  And, they look and sound like you.  This is the complicated reality of being Muslim in America.  I sympathize with you, but we are, in fact, under attack by Muslims because they are Muslims and we are not.  In your case, they view you as apostate and you are lumped in with the rest of the degenerate West!  You don’t want bombings, terrorism, and jihad, but mixed in among you are plenty who do.  No one here can tell whether you answered the call to a life of liberty in America, or the call to Jihad echoing from your minarets.

We wonder if more widespread hatred for the Jews so colors your alliances that you blame us for bringing Jihad upon ourselves.  If it weren’t for America’s support for Israel….

Margaret, you are a fool.  America is wary of Islam, as America should be.  I have no hope that you will figure out why.

Gun Control Goes Underground

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

Brady’s Paul Helmke revealed the new gun control strategy in a post-McDonald v Chicago interview with a local talk show host. Not overtly. Not intentionally, but the strategy is easily inferred from the group’s new position. This post does what Helmke would not: it states that strategy.

First, the Marxists have long fought gun control on the field of conventional battle.  The Gun Control Act of 1968 marked the highest success of their invasion and occupation.  Since then, using similar authoritarian state legislation, they deprived the citizen of the right to keep and bear arms using a wicked little war chest of tricks, such as “open carry only” laws.  States and cities were essentially unfettered by federal law to harass citizens with their own flavor of gun control.

But, something began to change.  About forty years ago now, states began passing handgun carry liberty legislation.  The fortress walls of gun control at state level had appeared solid and unassailable.  Instead, they were rotten and they began falling.

It has taken decades and hard political work.  Consider that the five-justice majority in Heller and McDonald owe their appointments to Presidents Reagan and the two Presidents Bush.  President Clinton, often touted as “moderate” or “centrist” gave us Supreme Court justices of Marxist philosophy who see no limit to the government’s power to disarm the citizenry.  Thanks to the many conservative Americans who applied noise and pressure, and to the three Republican presidents who responded and guarded the Supreme Court from creeping Marxism, the Left was finally, finally confronted by Mr. Heller and Mr. McDonald.  Their court battles were dramatic, decisive, and conventional in that the plaintiffs used existing judicial doctrine and the language of the 2nd and 14th Amendments to declare local gun ban laws unconstitutional.

Having lost the epic conventional battles of Heller and McDonald, the Marxist Committee to Disarm Free Americans (my name for gun controllers collectively) are in retreat, hard pressed and outflanked by the host of other suits by gun owners, exemplified here and here.  Swiftly growing numbers of grassroots gun owners have demoralized their forces, turned their bastion of activist federal law against them, and left them being mopped up on fronts all across the country.

So, what does a dedicated Marxist gun control maniac do?

The Comrade goes underground, that’s what.  See what I mean by clicking on “Read the rest….” (more…)

Defending Your Local Range

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

Current (September) issue of NRA’s America’s First Freedom has excellent article about how you prepare to take on the legal threats to local ranges and gun clubs.  We will see more of these lawsuits as urban terrain expands and clashes with your favorite place to shoot.  Parents at Saturday soccer hearing gunfire may complain about the “danger.”  (A relatively new soccer field lies within hearing range of my local range which has been a range for a long, long time.)  Is your lead fouling the environment?  Is shot really raining onto a deck a mile away?  Are bullets really whistling overhead?  These concerns apply if you shoot on your own private property, too. People who hate guns may be holding loud little meetings right now, complaining about you and choosing the activist mouthpiece who will write their complaint letters.  Some lawyer is coaching them on how to set you up.  They are not that concerned about the truth of the claims, either.

This NRA’s article, entitled “Close Range,” is written by lawyer Martha Dean.  she offers specific advice about preparing to defend against lawsuits even before they are filed.  Her advice reminds me of the 13-part series I wrote to launch this blog: Have a Plan to Sway Everyone You Meet: Thirteen Tips For Speaking to Your City Government about Gun Control”

Wounded, Bleeding Statue of Liberty

Friday, August 27th, 2010

Every congressional act targets American citizens.  Every one.  All Americans who still yearn to be free need to understand that the nature of government is to legislate, regulate, tax, and litigate.  Under each new law–and we are overwhelmed with law–some citizen becomes either a criminal or a defendant marked for bankruptcy.

Congress created the Environmental Protection Agency whose bureaucrats now accuse hunters of wounding “the environment” but they aim to wound Liberty herself.  Gun owners, we have got to get up from the couch, meet each other, band together, organize, and stand up noisily en masse to scare the shit out of them.  Otherwise, you are nothing to them.  The NRA is  right on this one.

Update–a few hours later.  EPA cancels hearings re petition to ban lead ammunition.

Tyranny Takes the Lead Out

Friday, August 27th, 2010

The EPA’s move to ban lead ammunition has nothing to do with Pb.  It has everything to do with BB.  Big Brother.  Karl Marx.  Every tyrant who has every diseased humankind with his arrogant, Satanic presence.

Your government is all about harassing honest citizens so much that the right to keep and bear arms–and you–are emasculated.  Resist this as if the enemy were at the gates.  He is.

They are begging for armed revolution, whether steel or lead.
