BATFE Fast & Furious: The Real Scandal

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

I comment today, the day Ken Melson gets reassigned, only to beat the drum one more time: The greater scandal here—far greater than the supposed ineptitude, or poor planning, or sloppy execution of the plan—is the United States Government’s use of Fast & Furious to promote gun control through slandering gun shops and, by extension, all of we who own guns. Big Wind Blew In From Winnetka–The President as National Weather Man

Saturday, August 27th, 2011

The President of the United States taking charge of Hurricane Irene from some national disaster center is absurd.  Leave the weather to the cities and states.  Oh, wait, that’s right.  The Democrat Party turned the path of Hurricane Katrina directly into Washington, D.C. when President Bush occupied the White House, and now, President Obama has to live with the aftermath of that artificially created political storm.

“Don’t let any crisis go to waste,” huh?  Now, the chickens have come home to roost, and every politician anywhere near the breeze has to be seen as looking out for “the public.”  So here is the President of the United States, reduced to national weather man.  I don’t like it one bit, no matter who commands the executive branch of the federal government.

Here is Buddy Rich, exhibiting his classic, astounding drum technique, on “Big Noise Blew In From Winnetka.” I am using Winnetka, Illinois, just north of Chicago, as a stand-in for the President’s adopted hometown.
(Let’s hope, in 2012, he blows right out again.)

While I Am on Country Music: Kris Kristoffersen and Guerilla Marketing

Friday, August 26th, 2011

Hearing Kenny Rogers sing “The Gambler” made me think about Kris Kristoffersen.  A little-known fact about this fellow Ranger is that he was a chopper pilot.  Though Johnny Cash initially ignored his songs, Kris got Johnny’s attention finally—for “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down—by landing a chopper in Johnny’s yard and giving him the songs, personally.

Guerilla marketing, from a Ranger who knew how to infiltrate, get behind the lines, and accomplish the mission.

My hats’ off to the man known for reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in the TV series, “Amerika.”

You don’t reverse decades of Idiocrat Party control in only one election.  The victorious Wisconsin republicans now face a vandalism counter-strike.

Big Brother Contemplates The Big Quake

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

If your friends think you are paranoid for buying extra canned goods, putting in a rain barrel, or ordering 1,000 rounds at a time from LuckyGunner to stock copious ammo for The Great Zombie Invasion, then you might show them what their Big Brother is doing to prepare for The Big One.

Are 1/4 of American children going hungry?

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

ABC mindlessly gushes forth the claim that 1/4 of American kids are going hungry.  We have a couple of choices when confronted with these kinds of breathless assertions: (more…)

This Day, 1961: Gunter Litfin Killed by Communists at Age 24

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

Monument to Gunter Litfin

Here died the first of those “over the wall.” Gunter Litfin, born 1-1-1937, died 8-24-1961. To the memory of him and all of those who went over the wall.

This memorial sits alone, in a patch of grass, by a Berlin sidewalk.  It’s not far from the main train station, so many people walk by.  Were it not for this marker, you’d not know that the accursed Berlin Wall stood there, arrogantly proclaiming the Soviet Man as god over all, holding life and death in Communist hands. You’d not know a guard post manned by East German collaborators stood nearby.  I did not know Mr. Litfin and am not related to his family.  I suspect he was shocked when his own people shot him.  He was the first killed at that crossing, but not the last.

I would like to see the memorial point the indicting finger of death at his killers, the Communists.

A Chilling Anniversary: The London-based, Transatlantic, Liquid Bomb Plot

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

During the spring and summer of 2006, London police watched an Islamic murderer cell prepare to bring down multiple passenger airplanes, spread out across the Pacific, en route between England and America.  The young, Muslim men planning their own suicides, and the murders, culminated their planning around July and arrests began in August.  Charges were brought about five years ago, this week.

These men were traitors, using England’s good graces and hospitality to plot her destruction.  They are the reason why you are restricted to those 3 1/2 ounce bottles of liquid, and why you cannot even bring your water bottle on board.  Their bomb components included using hydrogen peroxide and Tang.  They planned to blow themselves up, taking out your family sitting in rows nearby, and blowing a hole in the airplanes, sending seven of them into the sea.

Think about it.  Right about now, five years ago.  Oh, and you should know, most of them were born in England.

A Call to Democrats

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

Please reassess your fundamental understanding of government power, and reconsider your party affiliation.  The goodies so routinely passed out by those who govern are, quite literally, running out; the shelves are being cleared off.  Your party’s reaction is to become increasingly angry with any taxpayer who resists being forced to pay more, and more, and more, (here, insert the symbol for “infinite” dollars).  Plainly, even if you support the premises of the welfare state, you must see that real people must work to earn to pay those taxes, while our government squanders the money and borrows more without limit.

And, now, we hear this.  If this congresswoman is the mouth of the Democrat Party, do you really want to be associated with such?  I am serious: when she declares “The Tea Party is the enemy,” what I hear is “The working, earning taxpayer is the enemy.”  I really doubt that many of you agree, but your party is increasingly declaring itself the enemy of the taxpayer who is fed up with government taxation, spending, and borrowing.
