The Great Hypocrites of India

08/6/2012 @ 8:52pm

I am sure that the Indian government feels some pressure to bluster in front it its varied peoples, and to show them that it can self-righteously point its finger at the great United States of America.

India: Does the name “Staines” mean anything to you?  Clean up your own violent country first!

I remind you, the Hindu mob doused his car with kerosene and burned Mr. Staines and his two young sons alive.  Pastor Staines was in your county helping lepers.  You let his killers live (giving some of them life sentences).

So, before you examine us, examine yourselves, India.

Consider this: Wisconsin, the state where the Sikh worshipers sat while Staines gunned them down, just recently restored the right to keep and bear arms to its citizens.  Why did not a single one among the Sikh congregation have a weapon?  That’s right: a gun.  Fighting back is a nice thought, but if you are going to fight back, you should prepare for the fight.  Otherwise, you just heroically screwed up.

As for the murders committed by Wade Michael Page, readers of MJM know my admonition to our culture: intent-to-kill murder merits the death penalty.  Nothing less sends the message.  Page got shot by the police after a while on his murderous spree.  RIP Officer Brian Murphy, killed in the line of duty coming to the aid of the Sikh temple victims.  But, a single armed Sikh at the Temple could have stopped this.

Western or eastern, this pathetic introspection we are supposed to be engaging in while we have a “conversation” about these murders should turn to: “Arm up!  Defend yourselves and your loved ones!”

Or, don’t.  That’s your choice.  Just go ahead and let satanically-inspired evil people strike when, where, and whom they may.

But, when you catch such evil people, here is what the moral state would do: hang them on the courthouse lawn on a Friday afternoon, in front of all, as an object lesson to those monsters among us who hold  human life in low esteem.

President Obama: Apologize for nothing.  You did not kill these people, nor did we the American people.  Your so-called apology is a thinly-veiled political message that we, the American people, need to be controlled, curtailed—and disarmed.   You are fooling no one.  Oh, you are serious about murder?  Then, cross-examine your judicial appointees who heavily disfavor the death penalty.  In the meantime, you are calling for “soul-searching” among Americans about “gun violence.”  Here is my soul-searching: I searched, understood that murder is evil, saw that murderous evil stalks the world and armed myself.  You should do the same—in addition to the trained teams of armed men you depend on every day.  Man, you should be carrying!  Are you?

India, you sentenced the Staines family murderers to life.  Not enough.  So, examine yourselves before you point the finger at us and clamor for insipid gun control.

Evil among us is tragic but universal.  Restrain evil people.  Leave the rest of us alone.

Soul searching that goes no further than “gun control” fails to look into the soul at all.  Look hard but know: our governments cannot “fix” us.  Hell, they cannot even fix themselves.
