Why Carry a Gun: Three Stabbed to Death in Nashville

09/3/2012 @ 7:35pm

I’m not going to dwell on this.  It’s too bad that none of these three family member murder victims had a gun, to defend against Craig Garber.

Historically anti-gun Nashville Tennessean: You reported this.  Why are you not saying anything about what a handgun could have meant to this grandmother, mother, and son?

It’s just not that difficult: in this age, the gun is the pinnacle weapon.  Without one, you are down on the food chain.  Do you want to be down the food chain?  If the answer to that question is “No,” then—What are you doing to raise your position on the food chain?  Get a gun.  Learn to use it.  Carry it.  Save lives.  Or, just don’t.  Just lie down and get killed.  It’s your choice.

How do you even know they did not have a gun?

Well, you got me there, for sure. I suppose it is possible that they all three were armed up, with modern, reliable semi-automatic pistols strapped on, or perhaps even had an AR-15 made ready in the corner, all with “high-capacity” magazines loaded, one in the chamber—but that they stood there and let that guy knife them to death.

I think it is a logical, even probable inference, that the victims all were unarmed. Too bad.
