If Scott Walker had laid off firefighters in Milwaukee, and replaced them with untrained volunteers who would actually pay to ride the trucks and fight fires, can you imagine the Democrat reaction?

In true Madison, Wisconsin, Marxist fashion, if a Republican even suggested this, Detroit would fill full of ragbag hippies, protesting and crapping in City Hall.  Otherwise ordinary people would show up foaming at the mouth when told to by their unions.

So, where is the leftist outrage?

And, doesn’t it actually seem like a neat idea?
