I missed one

I must say, I did not see it coming.

The failure of the administration to develop an effective American foreign policy for dealing with changing Muslim-world governments, is a foreign policy catastrophe of the highest order.  This did not just start; the administration’s foreign policy failures in the Middle East were plain during the attempt by Iranians to reform their government—a freedom-movement that our administration ignored.  Then came the Arab Spring.  Our president was a no-show.  That might be forgivable if his State Department engaged effectively in his absence, but they did not.

Now, the predictable attack on our Libyan consulate, and murders there of our people, constitute a security breach meriting resignations.

The absurdity of the administration’s denial that the attack was pre-planned is laughable.  ”Go stupid early,” appeared to be the administration’s position.  Worse, they figured the rest of us were dumb enough to believe them.  In the case of the press lapdogs, they were right.  All we heard about was the video.  Folks, if the success of American foreign policy in the Muslim World depends on some YouTube video, then our foreign policy is weak, indeed.

But, I missed this: I did not see the depth of President Obama’s administration’s cover up.  I thought blaming some guy with a video was just an opportunistic means of creating another “straw man” target dressed to look like some group the administration hates.  In the case of Fast and Furious, they tried to smear gun owners and the gun industry.  In the case of this YouTube video, they tried to smear Christians.

But, I did not comprehend how well-warned they were in advance and, therefore, how great a failure they are.  Now, it is all coming to light.

It is fair to say that this administration’s conduct of foreign policy from Afghanistan to Zanzibar is a debacle.

If you (Democrat readers) are not willing to accept that, then at least you must accept that our Muslim world foreign policy is a shambles.  We remain at war; Afghanistan dead now number 2,000 (I bet you missed that, if you watch only MSNBC or CNN.), and the Muslim world is not exactly cozying up to President Obama like you just knew they would once that awful George Bush was gone from office.

We have a problem, and your candidate is not up to the job.  In other times, that might be acceptable.  In these troubled times, he—and therefore, you, if you vote for him again—are dangerous.
