I have often written that we in the west are secondary targets in a civil war within Islam.  The “war on terror” if first a war within Islam, for the soul of the Islamic people.  It is only secondarily a war to purge the Middle East of westerners.  After that, it becomes a worldwide conquest, but first, they have to enslave their own brother and sister Muslims.

This means that Muslim people must claim their own version of liberty.  We cannot free them.  They must free themselves.  We sat by when Iranians tried to throw off the Islamic Republic government.  But, because of us, Iraqis and Afghans now have that opportunity to establish political liberty even within the confines of Islam, but I doubt that they will seize their own fate, claim their liberty, and kill those who would enslave them.  We will see.

But, perhaps this is changing.  The murder of this 14-year old girl might finally horrify the Pakistanis enough to arouse them to reclaim civilization from the jihad.
