In this short video clip, Stephanie Cutter, the Obama campaign’s Deputy Campaign Manager, makes a fool of herself. She literally, plainly, blatantly, blamed the Republican candidates for the Libya consulate debacle being an issue. It is possible that Stephanie is so stupid that she cannot comprehend why an American consulate being overrun by jihadist raiders and the ambassador being raped and murdered would be of immediate concern to the American people. I suppose all of we idiotic proles should just be mindlessly doing whatever we mindless proles ordinarily do.
But, I want to comment on her repetition of the administration’s “We are still investigating” spin.
“We are still investigating.” That line supports their turning on the CIA to say that they spoke “stating the best intelligence they had at the time.”
Of course, they are still investigating. I hope our people will interview lots of eyewitnesses and others, to try to reconstruct the tactics used by the successful jihadist raiders. I hope they will ferret out the collaborators who housed these slime.
But, folks, “How it all went down” does not alter that it happened. It was obvious immediately what had happened. Consider this: You are just about to turn in one night, when someone kicks in your door. You are a good urban leftist—we’ll make you a Nashville downtown restaurateur with your little pink panties all in a wad over “guns in bars”—so you are unarmed. You start to beg for your life, but you are shot dead.
You are dead. The door is kicked in and your house ransacked. The police can spend months sifting physical evidence, interviewing likely suspects, watching for your property to show up on the streets, but the door is kicked in and you are bled out on your floor. Dead.
It does not take Sherlock Holmes to know that you were robbed and murdered.
Of course the investigation will go on, and new facts will be discovered. But, you were robbed and murdered.
Applying this little analogy, an ongoing investigation should target identifying the jihadist killers, identifying their spies, identifying their infiltration and supply routes, tracking their weapons back to sources, and studying their tactics. But, the liars of the Obama administration do not need to conclude this investigation to know what happened. All that they learn will not alter that jihadists exploited security weaknesses and raided our consulate. That is already manifest to all of the rest of us. Only they—the Democrat Party leadership—feign ongoing ignorance.
It gets worse: instead of just claiming, “Let’s all wait for the full investigation to become complete,” they immediately marched out with this YouTube video lie. Notice, you Democrat readers who want so much to find an excuse for their deception: They did not wait to finish this now-touted investigation before they trotted out YouTube’s ostensibly-Christian movie-maker as the sole cause of all of this.
It gets worse in another direction: They blame Mitt Romney!
Their “We are investigating” spin is not to be believed as the excuse for their delayed admission that this was a terrorist attack by Muslim jihadists. Oh, wait, that’s right. Even now, they cannot bring themselves to admit that Muslim terrorists attacked our consulate, sexually violated our ambassador, tortured him, and murdered him, and killed other Americans in their orgy of perverted violence.
For the sake of our country, Democrat readers, please either stay home or just admit you made a mistake in 2008 and vote to put these people out.
