The Disarmed Could Only Watch

Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013

Notice in the picture, the crowd in the background.  The two Islamic terrorist butchers strutted, chatted, and challenged the crowd to video them.

Why did no one shoot them?

Oh, that’s right.  Gun control.  They were the only armed people on the street.

So, now, people, having seen your enemy among you, understand: your government has failed you and the wolves are in the sheep pen.  To quote one of the killers: “You people will never be safe.”

He is right.  It’s not about being “safe.”  It’s about bringing death to the enemies who would destroy you.

Are you in?  What are you going to do about it?

Nothing?

Then, walk your streets in fear.

Choose to man up.

Or else.

Why to Carry a Gun: Your Country Has Invited Terrorists to Live Among Us

Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013

Soldier deprived of right to keep and bear arms by his government, chopped to death by Islamic terrorists using illegal weapons on London Street.

Indications are that his “Help for Heroes” T-shirt featured in their instant-outrage butchery.

Guess I won’t wear my American flag baseball cap to tour London.  Doesn’t matter: Americans stand out and somehow they know where we are from.

Similar murders have happened here already.  Fort Hood, TX comes to mind.

Stop importing people who hate us.

Send some home.

Arm to fight those already here.

People of the UK and the US: it is manifest that our governments lack the will to guard our shores.  Vote accordingly.

Or don’t.  Choose your learned helplessness if you just must.  But, don’t expect the rest of us to do so.

How the IRS Got Clearance to Opress Tea Party Americans

Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013

President Obama, his staff, his campaign leaders, and his party have for years now reviled conservative Americans.  This is a long-term strategy.  The strategy succeeded in its evil purpose.  The Democrat-on-the-street gets the message.  I have had it spat in my face often enough.  They have learned to hate us, and teach others to hate us.

Democrats holding IRS jobs do not have to get orders from their supervisor to set Tea Party 501(c)(3) applications aside.  They have already heard their marching orders.  They saw Tea Party applicants as rubes, illegitimate rabble-rousers and—here, you fill in the list with their many insults.  The press’s snide approach egged them on.  President Obama joins in this demonizing and sets the example.  Remember the “bitter clingers” speech?  Is he continually race-baiting whenever he is invited to a podium?  The vile spewing of hatred permeates the Democrat party’s public gatherings and media pronouncements, and the Democrat party permeates government.

One of the several ironies in all of this predictable mess is that the Tea Party movement is made up of people who actually pay the taxes, work the businesses, and struggle against the bureaucracies that send them nasty letters and threaten penalties and jail.

Again: You cannot create layer upon layer of laws and rules, and hire hordes of people to inflict them onto others, without corruption and oppression.  People are not perfect—even good, liberal, environmentally conscious, LGBT-loving, people.  When you empower government, you empower imperfect people, and some of them will just be themselves behind that phone and desk.  Government people are not different from the rest of us; they are just in power.  Power goes to some people’s heads, right?  The peaceful solution that blesses a nation with order, contentment, and prosperity is limited government carrying out only its defined functions under the law, not rampant marauding government acting like a crowd of mean drunks.

The Americans in Boston’s original 1773 Tea Party rose up in armed rebellion over less.

The IRS Scandal Grows: Let’s Keep Sight Of What They Taught Us

Tuesday, May 21st, 2013

We must not lose sight of this truth: this is not an example of some government officials going bad.  This is government doing what many people who gravitate to government do naturally: govern.   That may mean citations, hearings, and penalties.  It may mean nasty letters.  It may mean prying into your personal affairs.  For some, government is consistent pay, good benefits, and service; for some, it’s a job; and, for more than a few, it’s a personal fiefdom in which they can act like little lords.  Think that’s harsh?  You have not engaged in enterprise, then.  You should try it for a while, and then get back with me.

Yes, there are exceptions and fine people doing government service at local, state and federal level.  Of course.  Again, this is about the nature of people in general coupled with the power of the state to legislate, regulate, and litigate.

And tax.

And delay.

And interrogate.

And, then lie about it all.

It is not necessary for orders to emanate from on high for these people to understand what they are being winked at to do.

The solution is not “reform” or “finding those accountable.”  The solution is pulling out the claws of big government.  The answer to 1984 is 1776.

In the case of the IRS, the solution is repealing the income tax code and replacing it with a tax that does not assert Stalinist era power over taxpayers.

Indeed: When the IRS can question you over the content of your prayers, I would say that the income tax is unconstitutional—at least when it creates tax-exempt entities.

But, when employees of the IRS can specifically select Tea Party groups for harassment, then those employees are acting unconstitutionally, and perhaps even criminally.

Repeal the income tax.

That’s a good start.

Three Reasons Why “It” Matters, Mrs. Clinton

Sunday, May 19th, 2013

Recruitment, Mrs. Clinton, that is one reason it matters.  You have a volunteer Army and a volunteer State Department, Mrs. Clinton.  The parents of graduates and smart young people would like to think that when the enemy is in the wire, breaching the walls, screaming for American blood, and about to overrun the compound, you would hear their calls for help and send shooters.  Instead, we learn that they are readily expendable.  To you and the rest of the Obama political team.  Listen closely, and you will hear parents telling their young adult children “Whatever you decide to get into, forget the military and stay out of the State Department, too.  They will stick you out there and leave you to twist in the wind.”

It?  “Why does it matter?”  Because they matter, Mrs. Clinton.

Finally, it matters because we—you and your administration and your president—have sent many Americans out to hot, dirty hell-holes to serve our country.  You have proven you cannot be trusted to back them up, cover them, guard them, and reinforce them when the enemy threatens to slaughter them.  You must be held accountable.  So it does not happen again.

Encouraging Note to Democrat Readers

Friday, May 17th, 2013

For us, this is not about destroying your political party.  We hardly like our own party any more than yours.  Some of  us outright reject the Republican Party, and have gone Libertarian.

This is not about our distrust of your government.  We do not trust our government either (with the Republicans in the White House or holding majorities in Congress).  There is no benign government that merits our trust.  There are just people.  People handed power are tempted.  Some will succumb.  Some go there so that they may indulge themselves in their lust for power.

We do see your party mostly that way.  And, we know that the Republican Party has many who are no different.

So, we conclude, limited government is the prescription.  Not “reform.”  Not just congressional hearings.  Not some token firings.  We people have handed our government far too much power and money.  Of course it has corrupted them!  It is far too complicated for any party’s leaders to manage.  The solution—again—limited government.  Limit their money; limit their power.  Vote them out of office if they resist.

So, we hope you get on board after you absorb the gravity of the IRS scandal, the Benghazi dereliction of duty, debacle, and deceit, and—here, you please complete this sentence with the multiple examples of incompetence, corruption, and deceit which are staining this administration.  The lesson to learn here for us all is not that “We should have elected Romney.”  The lesson to re-learn is that our governing class is no better than the rest of us, and often more base and more inept than we are.  Our system of government was designed to frustrate their lust for power.  Your party fuels, loves, and lives off of that lust for power.  We think your party has to be stopped.

And so does “ours.”  Otherwise, this is what we get.  I am not asking you to switch parties.  I care not one whit that you “become a Republican.”  I am asking you to re-assess your fundamental beliefs about human nature, as that nature plays out when people are handed the reins of public trust, public money, and power.

Joe Biden, Idiocracy Vice President

Wednesday, May 15th, 2013

Little boy being brainwashed by liberal teachers at his Montessori school and by his parents solves all of this “gun violence.”  He tells his teacher that all bullets should be made of chocolate.  She is amazed at his post-human, transcendent insight.  Somehow, he knows how to write the Vice President of the United States of America.

He reaches Joe Biden, who writes back.  Joe, of course, agrees that chocolate bullets would make the country safer and happier.

Joe missed a teachable moment.  But, Jim Treacher did not.  Better to be told the truth than to live in liberal la-la land.

So, Joe, would you like your Secret Service detail armed with chocolate bullets?

Idiot.

And, if you are going to tell me that Joe didn’t write it, then his staff should not forge his signature.

LuckyGunner Parodies a Drug Ad

Wednesday, May 15th, 2013

Depression is not funny.  Pain hurts.  But, you can lighten the day WITHOUT medication by watching this LuckyGunner video on—of all things—a sand-filled shooting bag.  Seriously.  This is classic: a parody on a Cymbalta ad.  The tear and the music got to me.  I am not sure who is thinking this stuff up, but it’s pretty crazy.

Oops! The Kel-Tec won’t make it through the airport scanner.

Wednesday, May 15th, 2013

I think maybe my nice local airport, TYS, may hold the record for finding guns in innocent passenger bags.  A dubious honor to be sure, and no terrorists have been stopped.  Fortunately for the violator, most of the local TSA probably own guns themselves.

Clips, Magazines, and Malum Prohibitum

Wednesday, May 15th, 2013

Malum prohibitum: a crime not because the act is immoral, but because we say it is a crime.

A friend thought he had me yesterday on the old “clips” firearms nomenclature faux pas.  But, my 5.56mm ammo cans include those with loose ammo already loaded into stripper clips.  I am a big believer in stripper clips, having used them in the Army.  The can with the label “5.56 mm in clips” meant just that: in stripper clips, not in “magazines.”

But, that made me wonder: if David Gregory held up a 10-round stripper clip in a 7-round state, would he be arrested for holding a “high capacity clip?”

Just wondering.  I suppose it does not matter.  To him, anyway.  You and I might be arrested for having a loose, unloaded stripper clip in the bottom of the backpack.  But, David Gregory is still free!
