Easy. Spread the word among the Somali pirates that Iranian Navy ships are fair game. No need to commission the pirates as privateers; only US inaction would be necessary. We can continue to rescue the fishermen, but abandon the Navy to the pirates. I like it. Might even work.

President Obama Stops Deportation of Haitian Man—Who Then Murders Three |
01/23/2012 @ 5:44pm No Comments » |
President Obama had halted deportations to Haiti. Haitian Kesler Dufrene, a felon with a lengthy criminal history, and here in the United States illegally, spent five years in jail here and then was supposed to be deported, but, instead, was released. This story came out, and you’ll find it reported in some city papers, but you are not seeing it splashed across the ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN headlines. Here it is from the UK Daily Mail.
President Obama is at fault for these murders. The “Miami Herald” reports the Miami crime, but its headline points the finger at the “immigration authorities.” Further into the story, you will learn the truth: President Obama made a policy decision that deprived those authorities of the authority to deport Dufrene, or to continue to hold him. This is a policy failure of murderous consequences and the media conspiracy to snuff the story should not succeed.

Senator Santorum on Gun Control |
01/23/2012 @ 5:19pm No Comments » |
Early in the primary season, I had checked candidates’ web sites, and been dismayed that the Second Amendment did not even rate as an Issue tab on most. Ron Paul made his stance plain; Perry and Romney were no-shows. (Though Rick Perry did shoot a coyote.) Even now, the Romney site is embarrassingly scant of substance: “Jobs, Healthcare, Foreign Policy” are the listed issue links. You will not find Mitt expressing his passion for the liberty to keep and bear arms, on his campaign site.
In stark contrast, here is the Santorum web statement recounting Senator Santorum’s record on Second Amendment issues, and here is his answer to the GOA survey (GOA notes the Romney campaign still won’t answer.)
And, click on “Read the rest of this entry” if you want to see MJM’s ideal, model candidate position statement on the Second Amendment (repeated here from an earlier post). This is what I would like to see the candidates stating they believe about the right to keep and bear arms.

Forgetful Women as Second Amendment Champions |
01/19/2012 @ 7:49am 4 Comments » |
It’s humbling to a Second Amendment activist blogger: The death of gun control will be caused by normal, nice, traveling sisters, so comfortable with carrying a handgun that they overlook Big Brother’s jealous hatred of the right to keep and bear arms.
I’m being a little whimsical, here, but what are “the authorities” to do with all of these ladies showing up with a gun in the purse?
Also, to the chagrin of some of the women shooters, the 65-year old caught carrying at DFW (Dallas) was packing—you guessed it—a .38 caliber revolver.
Hey, maybe we should call for a day of mass civil resistance: On a given day, sugar-and-spice-and-everything-nice dresses in office casual, kisses her family good-bye at the airport (and has them stand by with their cameras) and confronts TSA with gun in purse. By the thousands. I like it. You can get away with it, while we crusty men would face the full force of the system.

ABC Attacks Romney–For Tithing to His Church |
01/18/2012 @ 11:53am No Comments » |
ABC whines and breathlessly gushes that Romney tithed millions to his church. At least those tithes were voluntary; I bet he gave millions to the federal government as well, under compulsion of law and threat of criminal prosecution, but ABC is unconcerned about that.
So, in the minds of leftoids:
Capital confiscated by government: good.
Capital voluntarily given to church: horrifying.

Homegrown Terrorism: “From Plano Youth to al-Qaeda Agent” |

This article out of the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area describes the transformation of a young, American, Muslim man—a citizen of our country, born here to a family of citizens—to a hater of our country and a killer. I comment here because the story of Moeed Abdul Salam exemplifies what we are all up against, for the foreseeable future. His family is heartbroken adn dismayed. It’s like invasion of the body-snatchers, only the snatching is done gradually, almost imperceptibly, for no specific causes that you can identify.

MJM Congratulates Iranian Entrepreneur for Moxy |

This Iranian entrepreneur is manufacturing and selling pink, plastic, miniature U.S. RQ-170 drones. Seriously, you have to hand it to him. Why not?
But, that government seems bent on self-destruction. Self-destruction of the revolutionary, theocratic autocracy would be fine. The problem is, there are lots of nice people there, in Iran, and their government has put them at great risk of U.S. attack.

Handling Washington D.C. Rats |
01/16/2012 @ 1:20pm No Comments » |
I’m listening to the news, discussing that the animals-are-humans-too crowd in Washington, D.C. may dictate that rats have to be captured, not killed, and re-located—in some cases, as whole rat families. Virginia wants to know, “Relocated to where?” This is pursuant to a 7-page act here.
Where I grew up, we handled rats under Rule 22. We stalked them, and sniped the rats under Rule 22. Some less sporting shooters at the “city dump” used shotguns, but I thought that uncalled for. Shooting rats with a .22 rifle is great sport. Or was: You’ll get arrested now for setting up an armed hide in a landfill.
The Rule 22 reference is from the excellent movie, “Breaker Morant.” I commend this Boer War era movie to John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Leon Panetta, and to anyone else who wants to come down on those four Taliban-killing, urinating Marines, with more punishment than an Article 15.

Another home invasion robbery stopped by armed home occupant |
01/13/2012 @ 2:17pm No Comments » |
I am sure that this homeowner, reasonably feeling threatened with death, fired just as the robber turned to flee. That must be why the robber got shot in the rear end. Surely, the owner did not decide to pick off a fleeing felon.
Home invasion robberies around here are just not good business.
